Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Participants were eligible if they were 18 years of age or older and had experienced at least one traumatic event without a history of PTSD prior to the initial assessment.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Participants were excluded if they had been diagnosed with mental disorders, substance dependence, or neurological illness. Those who were currently receiving psychotherapy were also excluded because the effect of those therapies could confound the impact of the intervention.
