Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Inclusion criteria of control group: (1) there was no obvious degeneration of intervertebral disc confirmed by MRI before operation; (2) The time from vertebral burst fracture injury to operation was less than 72 hours; (3) no steroid before injury and no history of antibiotic use within the past 1 month; (4) no history of chronic low back pain; (5) no other chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, etc.; (6) no history of smoking or drinking recently (within 3 months); (7) no heart, lung, kidney or brain diseases; (8) Age: 10-75 years old. 2. Inclusion criteria of degeneration group: (1) patients with typical symptoms and signs of disc herniation and confirmed by MRI; (2) no history of lumbar drug injection; (3) no history of thoracolumbar surgery; (4) no other chronic diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes, dyslipidemia, etc.; (5) no history of antibiotic use within 2 hours before surgery; (6) no heart, lung, kidney or brain diseases; (7) Age: 10-75 years old; (8) no history of smoking or drinking recently (within 3 months).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria of control group and degeneration group: (1) patients with spinal infectious diseases, such as intervertebral space infection, spinal tuberculosis, etc.; (2) complicated with spinal tumors and ankylosing spondylitis; (3) presence of (like) rheumatoid arthritis; (4) chronic intestinal inflammatory diseases, such as ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease; (5) long-term history of smoking and drinking; (6) suffering from diseases of the heart, lung, kidney or brain.
