Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) met the diagnostic criteria for ADHD, as per the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th edition (DSM-5) ;19 2) were aged 4–6 years; 3) had received a preliminary clinical diagnosis of ADHD determined by developmental pediatricians and then reviewed by two developmental pediatricians, with a rank of deputy director or higher, with the diagnosis confirmed by unanimous opinion; 4) took no psycho-excitatory drugs during the month before enrollment; 5) written informed consent was provided by the patient's direct caregivers; and 6) good adherence to the intervention.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) intellectual disabilities and psychiatric disorders; 2) primary diseases of the cardiovascular, hematological, and endocrine systems, tumors, hepatic and renal dysfunction, severe malnutrition, and coagulation dysfunction; 3) obvious organic encephalopathies on imaging examination; and 4) intelligence quotient <80 as per the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children-Fourth Edition.
