Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Delirium group: ? age =65 years old; ? assessed as delirium by the Chinese version of 3min delirium diagnostic scale (3D-CAM); ? no surgical treatment in the past six months; ? agree to participate in this program, have signed the informed consent. Non-delirium group: ? gender and age matched with the delirium group, and in the stable period of chronic disease; ? no surgical treatment in the last six months; ? agree to participate in this project, have signed the informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? recent (<1 month) history of antibiotic, probiotic or prebiotic administration; ? gastroenteroscopy or enema within one month; ? previous or ongoing fecal colony transplantation treatment; ? illnesses affecting cognitive assessment or inability to cooperate; ? co-morbidities with malignant tumors; ? refusal to participate in the project; and ? other conditions deemed inappropriate for enrollment by the researcher.
