3 Years to 12 Years
Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 3-12 years; (2) Pediatric patients with ASA classification I or II; (3) Adenoidectomy/tonsillectomy under general anesthesia;
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Neurological disorders; (2) Attention deficit disorder; (3) Autism; (4) Parental refusal; (5) A history of severe hearing or visual impairment; and (6) Existing behavioral problems (defined as being treated by a pediatrician for behavioral problems or currently taking medication for behavioral problems or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder); (7) Preoperative anxiety requiring pretreatment with sedative medications; and (8) BMI = 95th percentile of the population of the same age and sex;
