Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Normal-hearing children: ? Bilateral normal hearing, with thresholds measured using pediatric behavioral audiometry between 500Hz to 4kHz =20 dB HL. ? Free from nutritional, metabolic, developmental, or other diseases, with normal intellectual development, assessed by an IQ score =90 on the Wechsler Intelligence Scale for Children (WISC). ? Absence of active otologic diseases, with clear external ear canals and intact tympanic membranes. ? Good compliance of guardians of the participating children. Hearing-impaired children: ? Hearing aids or bilateral cochlear implants are used. ? Clinical diagnosis of bilateral sensorineural hearing loss confirmed through audiometric evaluation. ? Evaluation via temporal bone CT and/or inner auditory canal MRI shows no severe inner ear malformations or cochlear ossification. ? Absence of auditory neuropathy spectrum disorder. ? No congenital external ear abnormalities such as ear canal atresia or microtia.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Intellectual or developmental delay. ? Withdrawal from participation upon the request of the subject's guardian due to subjective reasons, such as unwillingness to cooperate with the testing procedure.
