Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults (older than 18 years) ; Body Mass Index =35 kg/m2; ASA Grade I to III, and underwent elective laparoscopic bariatric surgery with written consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Presence of contraindications to pulmonary recruitment (e.g. bullous lung disease, Hemodynamics instability) , presence of pre-operative chronic pain, shoulder pain, severe organ dysfunction, opioid abuse addiction, alcohol addiction, preoperative use of respiratory medications (salbutamol, formoterol, Budesonide, etc.) , history of shoulder surgery, referral to open surgery
