Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Meets the AS ultrasound diagnostic criteria, but the conventional ultrasound test IMT is less than 1.5mm, and is included in the experimental group; 2) Healthy adult volunteers who do not meet the diagnostic criteria for AS ultrasound and do not meet any exclusion criteria will be included in the control group; 3) Conventional carotid ultrasound examination showed no obvious carotid plaques, including soft carotid plaques, hard carotid plaques, or mixed carotid plaques; 4) Between the ages of 40 and 80; 5) No anti atherosclerotic drugs such as antihypertensive drugs and lipid-lowering drugs were taken 1 month before enrollment; 6) No other serious diseases that affect the patient's prognosis; 7) Having good compliance; 8) Informed consent, voluntary testing. The process of obtaining informed consent should comply with GCP regulations.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Individuals with abnormal indicators such as liver and kidney function, hemoglobin, and C-reactive protein in biochemical tests before examination; 2) Routine carotid artery ultrasound detection shows plaque formation or IMT = 15mm on either side; 3) Have a history of active hemorrhagic disease within one month (upper gastrointestinal bleeding, hemoptysis, hemorrhoids, etc.); 4) Pregnant and lactating women; 5) Patients with severe heart diseases, such as acute coronary syndrome, progressive myocardial infarction, acute heart failure, severe heart rate arrhythmia, and recent coronary intervention treatment; 6) Stroke or cardiovascular events have occurred within the past 6 months; 7) Malignant tumor patients; 8) Other serious internal medicine diseases, such as decompensated liver cirrhosis, severe pulmonary hypertension, refractory hypertension, adult respiratory distress syndrome, etc; 9) The occurrence of neck stiffness or vascular malformations that result in the inability to complete bilateral carotid or brachial artery detection; 10) Mentally or legally disabled patients (aphasia, agnosia, deafness, blindness, etc.).
