Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. type 2 diabetes mellitus (fasting blood glucose =7mmol / L or random blood glucose =11.1mmol / L, with typical symptoms of hyperglycaemia). 2. Age greater than 18 years old. 3. ASA class I - III. 4. able to understand the study protocol and provide informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. history of gastrointestinal surgery 2. combination of pyloric obstruction, reflux esophagitis, hiatal hernia of the esophagus, or documented upper gastrointestinal abnormal 3. diabetes mellitus with severe neuropathy: diagnosis of gastroparesis or eating disorders, or the above complaints. 4. recent administration of drugs affecting gastrointestinal motility (e.g. anticholinergics, opioids). 5. hyper- or hypothyroidism. 6. severe hepatic or renal insufficiency. 7. persons with mental disorders who are unable to co-operate.
