Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Patients were =18 years old with complete apical development; (2) The affected teeth were the first and second molars of the maxillary and mandibular; (3) The affected teeth had not received root canal therapy; (4) The affected teeth had S-shaped curvature assessed by CBCT before surgery, with each curvature =25o; (5) The affected teeth had no severe periodontitis, with each degree of mobility =Io; (6) Chronic pulpitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) patients with severe systemic or systemic diseases; (2) patients with obvious calcification or abnormal morphology of root canal; (3) root fracture, apical and root canal internal and external absorption; (4) acute/chronic periapical periodontitis.
