Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: ?COPD diagnosis according to Global Initiative for Chronic Obstructive Lung Disease (GOLD) criteria ?Patients with stable moderate-to-severe COPD (FEV1%pred <80% after bronchodilators), without antibiotics and systemic corticosteroids within 4 weeks ?Age 45-75 years, BMI 18-36Kg/m2 ? ability to participate in regular physical activity and absence of other local or systemic diseases affecting exercise such as heart, liver and kidney;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ?Acute onset of COPD within the last 1 month; ? severe cognitive impairment and inability to understand or follow treatment instructions; ?Comorbidity with other severe or unstable illnesses; ? Pulmonary rehabilitation therapy (or other systematic physical training related to the disease) in the last 6 months;
