Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: (1) Diagnosis of cerebral infarction or haemorrhage in the left frontal, left frontotemporal, left frontoparietal, left frontotemporal and parietal, or basal ganglia area confirmed by CT or MRI, with the first onset and a single lesion in the left cerebral hemisphere; (2) Patients demonstrating clear consciousness and the ability to cooperate with treatment; (3) Duration of 1-3 months post-onset; (4) Western Aphasia Battery (WAB) results indicating aphasia and aphasia quotient (AQ) <93.8; (5) Native Chinese language speakers; (6) Educational attainment of elementary school or above; (7) Patients capable of providing written informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: (1) Aphasia not caused by cerebral infarction or cerebral haemorrhage; (2) Patients with skull defects following craniotomy; (3) Individuals experiencing acupuncture-related side effects and unable to endure treatment persistence; (4) Those with severe scalp infection or trauma deemed unsuitable for acupuncture; (5) Presence of visual or hearing impairments that could impede the evaluation and treatment of aphasia.
