Gold Standard:Magnetic resonance is the most important method for evaluating lumbar disc degeneration. Conventional T2-weighted imaging evaluates lumbar disc degeneration through the changes in the si
(2) Grade II: NP was high signal, heterogeneous, with or without horizontal low-signal strips, clear demarcation with the AF, and normal intervertebral space height
(3) Grade III: NP was grey, heterogeneous, unclear demarcation with the AF, and mild intervertebral space stenosis
(4) Grade IV: NP was low signal, heterogeneous, unclear demarcation with the AF, and vague intervertebral space height
(5) Grade IV: NP was low signal, heterogeneous, and vague demarcation with the AF, and mild intervertebral space height. (4) Grade IV: NP is low signal, uneven signal, and the boundary with AF is uncl

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age between 18 and 59 years; (2) A history of lower back or sciatic pain within the past three years; (3) No history of trauma or surgery; (4) No contraindications for Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI).

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Lumbar pain resulting from infection or neoplastic diseases; (2) History of endocrine or metabolic disorders affecting calcium or phosphorus metabolism; (3) Severe systemic diseases or a history of cancer treatment.
