Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Provide written informed consent 2) First depressive episode, age =60 years 3) Meet the Diagnostic criteria for major depressive disorder in the DSM-5(Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, 5th Edition) 4) Currently in the acute stage, with a total HAMD-17 score =17 at baseline 5) MMSE=26 6) Education level above primary school, can complete the scale assessment

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Have a history of epilepsy or coronary heart disease or other serious unstable physical disease 2) have participated in another interventional clinical study within the past 1 month 3) have a previous or current DSM-5 diagnosis of another psychiatric disorder, Such as organic mental disorders, Alzheimer's disease, secondary dementia from other causes, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, bipolar disorder, delusional disorder, undefined mental illness, people with a history of substance abuse, including alcohol or active substance abuse within the past 12 months, Nicotine excluded 4) History of stroke or MRI scan showing cerebral infarction or leukodystrophy Fazekas scale grading > 15) Severe aphasia, visual and hearing impairment, etc. can not complete the scale assessment 6) Use drugs that may affect cognition and sleep in the past 2 weeks 7) Patients who received electroconvulsive therapy and transcranial magnetic stimulation treatment 3 months before screening.
