Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Resectable esophageal cancer or esophagogastric junction cancer received minimally invasive esophagectomy; 2. Age >=18 years; 3. Postoperative Caprini score >=5; 4. ECOG PS 0-1; 5. No VTE was found by ultrasonic examination before surgery.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Bleeding > 400 mL intra-operation or chest drainage > 100 mL/h during the first 6 h after operation; 2. Patients who need to be transferred to the intensive care unit after surgery; 3. Contraindications or allergies to anticoagulants; 4. Use of anticoagulant or antiplatelet drugs within 1 week before surgery; 5. The need for prolonged use of anticoagulants; 6. Any conditions in which ultrasound or computed tomography pulmonary angiography (CTPA) were contraindicated; 7. Pregnancy or lactation; 8. History of hemorrhagic disease.
