18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1 Patients with stage III or IV periodontitis. 2 Age 18 years or older. 3 1-2 months after complete periodontal initial treatment. 4 At least one single-rooted tooth with intrabony pockets on the adjacent surfaces or proximal middle of the mandibular first molar, with a depth of the pockets of at least 3 mm, and the pockets not exceeding 1/3 of the adjacent surfaces. 5 Good compliance. 6 Good oral hygiene, with a plaque index of less than 30%, and less than 30% of blood sites detected in the whole mouth.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1 Pregnant or breastfeeding women. 2 Poor general health that precludes periodontal surgery. 3 Affected teeth with intrabony pockets that have mobility degree of III or with endodontic or periapical disease.
