Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Neck Pain Patients: 1) Meet the aforementioned diagnostic criteria: pure pain in the cervical anatomical area and its muscle tissues without specific pathological changes (excluding intervertebral disc disorders, rheumatic disorders, or cervical tumors), with a medical history of more than 3 months; 2) Age = 18 to = 25 years old, gender unlimited; 3) The first diagnosis Numeric Rating Scale (NRS) score for neck pain > 3 points; 4) The Neck Disability Index (NDI) score > 5 points; 5) Differential diagnosis by specialist doctors; 6) Those who can understand and complete the observation indicators of this study, and sign an informed consent form. (2) Healthy Participants: 1) Age = 18 years and = 25 years, gender unlimited; 2) No occurrence of pain in the cervical anatomical area and adjacent regions in the past three months; 3) Signed informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Neck pain with a history of whiplash injury, head or neck trauma, previous surgeries, or potential severe pathological changes; 2. Cervical joint instability, fractures, spinal cord compression, tumors, or systemic diseases; 3. Neck pain associated with spinal injury, spinal stenosis, or cervical disc protrusion; 4. Non-cervical origin dizziness; 5. Presence of mental disorders; 6. Patients who are receiving treatment for neck pain or have received such treatment in the past 6 months; 7. Patients with skin lesions in the cervical region or those who have a fear of acupuncture treatment.
