Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Study Groups:1) From August 19, 2022 to July 21, 2024 admitted to the PICU of the Children's Hospital of Chongqing Medical University, and was diagnosed with "sepsis" and met the diagnostic criteria for severe sepsis or septic shock in the international consensus of children's sepsis in 2005; 2) Age greater than 28 days,less than 18 years of age; 3) Have informed consent; Control group:1)Healthy children who were sex- and age-matched to the study group were included;2) Have informed consent;

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Study Groups:1) In our hospital the time of diagnosing severe sepsis or septic shock more than 48 hours; 2) Blood purification therapy 72 hours before diagnosis; 3) Have used immunosuppressants within three months before admission to the hospital. Control group: NA
