Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) School children aged 10 to 13 years with a Body Mass Index (BMI) classified as obese; (2) Voluntary participation with both the individuals and their guardians signing informed consent forms; (3) At the commencement of the experiment, participants should not be engaged in any regular physical exercise apart from physical education classes.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Individuals undergoing medication for chronic illnesses; (2) Those with severe organic lesions in the heart, brain, lungs, kidneys, and musculoskeletal system; (3) Individuals with a history of mental illness or currently experiencing psychiatric disorders; (4) Children and adolescents who have a fear of water.
