Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adults over 18 years of age, diagnosed with end-stage renal disease (ESRD), recommended by a nephrologist in our center and initially selected PD as a renal replacement therapy

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Patients who had regular peritoneal dialysis for < 3 months, and patients who refused to participate and were unable to give informed consent

Perioperative related factors included operation time, intraoperative blood loss, postoperative pain score (using the pain numerical rating scale), time to start peritoneal dialysis after surgery, length of hospital stay and hospitalization cost, perioperative complications (perforation, wound hematoma, early leakage, catheter outlet bleeding), etc;Peritoneal dialysis-related: drainage dysfunction, infusional dysfunction, catheter displacement, late leakage (abdominal wall and genital), bloody peritoneal dialysate, catheter rupture, cuff prolapse, outlet and tunnel infection, peritonitis, etc.;The outcomes and catheter survival were followed up;
