Patients group with pelvic floor atony constipation who have received partial resection of puborectal muscle (puborectal muscle hypertrophy/pelvic floor muscle spasm):None
Malignant tumors of the lower rectum and anal canal patients group who require Miles or ELAPE surgery:None

Age
18 Years to 75 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age <75 years old; 2. History of severe refractory for at least 4 years; 3. Preoperative testing (digital rectal examination, defecography and rectal and anal manometry) revealed rectocele induced Paradoxical Puborectalis Syndrome; 4. Exclusion of slow transit constipation, no signs of megacolon or Hirschsprung's disease; 5. Failure to past conservative treatment; 6. Intense desire of surgical treatment.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Severe psychiatric disease; 2. Severe impaired renal and hepatic function, coagulopathy or other severe comorbidities that cannot tolerate surgery; 3. Unsuccessful long term follow-up.
