LUS-guided RMs:manual re-expansion with a gradual increase in airway pressure until no atelectasis is observed in the lung images, with a maximum airway pressure limit of 45cmH2O, and a tidal volume n
conventional manual RMs:manual squeezing of the bag to a peak pressure of 40cmH2O, maintained for 10 seconds.

18 Years to 65 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. age over 18 years old, 2. American Society of Anaesthesiologists (ASA) physical status I–III, 3. meeting the criteria for surgical indications specified in the Chinese guidelines for bariatric surgery[24], 4. assigned informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. the existence of severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD, defined as GOLD grades III–IV), uncontrolled bronchial asthma 2. dysfunction of vital organs, such as cardiac dysfunction (defined as New York Heart Association class III or IV), ongoing renal replacement therapy before surgery, intracranial injury, or tumor, or neuromuscular disease 3. expected to require prolonged postoperative mechanical ventilation (due to difficult airway or planned administration of ICU) 4. already participated in other trials
