Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Volunteer anesthesiologists were recruited from the anesthesiology residents in the Department of Anesthesiology at Guangzhou Women's and Children's Medical Center. All resident volunteers are members of a national standardized residency training program that consists of one year of anesthesia training and two years of training in other clinical departments. Volunteers were first- or second-year anesthesia residents who had not yet received clinical training in anesthesia. They had not previously performed internal jugular vein puncture cannulation, but could have had relevant theoretical training.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Previous experience with internal jugular vein puncture and cannulation
