Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1)Patients meet the diagnostic criterias for functional constipation of the gastrointestinal dryness and heat type in Traditional Chinese Medicine; (2)Patients aged greater than 18 years old. (3)Patients who have not received any drugs or other adjuvant treatments within one week before the trial; (4)Patients who understand and agree to participate voluntarily in this study, signed an informed consent form, and had good compliance.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Patients with rectalcele,rectal prolapse, malignant tumours and other colorectal complications related to constipation. (2)Patients with drug-related disorders that directly cause constipation such as affecting the endocrine, nervous system, and metabolism, as well as surgical procedures. (3)Patients with serious internal diseases who cannot tolerate herbs or taking these herbs will affect the treatment of internal diseases; (4)Patients with other internal diseases who are receiving related treatment; (5)Patients with psychological and mental disorders.
