Interventions

ESPB:Under ultrasound guidance, 0.33% ropivacaine 30ml with 5mg dexamethasone was injected into the transverse surface of the target segment and the deep surface of the erector spinal muscle.
control group:1ml of normal saline was injected subcutaneously at the target stage

18 Years to 70 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Age 18-70 years old. (2)American Society of Anesthesiologists physical status (ASA) of I or II. (3) Patients with unilateral rib fracture indicated by chest CT and conservative treatment. (4) NRS score =4 for deep breathing or effective cough. (5) Able to understand and conduct the QoR-15 scale. (6) Voluntary signing of informed consent.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) Patients with sternal fracture. (2) Patients with infection overlying the site of injection. (3) Patients with coagulation dysfunction. (4) Patients who are known allergy to the local anesthetic used in the study. (5) Patients who were not admitted to hospital 24 hours after injury.
