Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: During the period from January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2023, news reports on deaths or brain deaths caused by plastic surgery or beauty clinics implemented in China (including Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan) were included

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: ? Non news reported plastic surgery deaths; ? Death related to non plastic and cosmetic surgeries; ? According to news reports, plastic surgery centers may experience sudden stops or coma, but may experience severe sequelae after being rescued; ? Prior to such surgery in 2010, due to related complications and death after 2010; ? Fatal cases of plastic surgery performed in non Chinese regions.
