Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Pathologically confirmed TNM stage T1-2 papillary thyroid carcinoma with coexisting Hashimoto's disease; 2) Underwent standard radical surgery for thyroid cancer; 3) Patients underwent limited surgical intervention.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) Presenting with distant metastasis; 2) The histopathological findings include follicular carcinoma, medullary carcinoma, poorly differentiated carcinoma, or undifferentiated carcinoma; 3) Coexisting with diffuse toxic goiter, acute suppurative thyroiditis, or subacute thyroiditis; 4) Patients who initially underwent regular follow-up surveillance and/or interventions such as radiofrequency ablation or intra-iodine-131 radiation therapy.
