Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) Meets the diagnostic criteria for functional constipation in Rome IV. (2) Two or more chief Chinese medicine practitioners meet the diagnostic criteria for Yin deficiency and intestinal dryness syndrome in clinical practice. (3) Patients aged 18-75 years old. (4) Sign an informed consent form.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1)Difficulty in defecation due to outlet obstruction (abnormal rectal and pelvic floor function). ? Constipation caused by systemic diseases and other factors (diabetes, hypothyroidism, Parkinson's disease, megacolon, cerebrovascular accident). (3)Constipation caused by psychological disorders (depression, anxiety, dementia). (4)Constipation caused by medication (opioids, proton pump inhibitors, diuretics). (5)Pregnant and lactating women. (6)Individuals who have used medication for treating functional constipation in the past week.
