Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (i) Osteoporosis patients or people with low bone mass who do not meet the diagnostic criteria for osteoporosis; (ii) individuals aged between 45 and 80 years on the day of the investigation. (iii) permanent residents with a minimum of 2 years of residence in the survey area and an anticipated residency duration of more than 2 years in the future. They should also possess the capacity to participate in baseline surveys and be available for follow-up studies. and (iv) willingness to undergo comprehensive assessments, including questionnaire interviews, physical examinations, and blood tests.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Exclusions were made for lactating or pregnant women, as well as participants with mental health disorders, acute infectious ailments, or severe physical conditions that hindered their ability to cooperate with the investigations.
