Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 18-80 years old, clinical diagnosis of severe pneumonia and respiratory tract samples confirmed as bacterial or fungal or viral infection, endotracheal intubation invasive mechanical ventilation into our hospital CICU or MICU, prone position ventilation within 72 hours and the oxygen index before the first prone position was lower than 150mmHg.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: The duration of mechanical ventilation was more than one week at the time of inclusion in the study; pregnant women; there were taboos in prone positions such as spinal fractures and open thoracic and abdominal wounds; patients' families refused to participate in the study; patients were dying because of severe hypoxia, shock, electrolyte disorders, etc.; cachexia; stage III tumors could not be monitored by EIT because of skin injury or cardiac pacemaker placement in the monitoring area.
