Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) Diagnosed at the time of registration or after follow-up to meet the diagnostic criteria for confirmed/clinically proposed diagnosis in the revised EI Escorial diagnostic criteria of the World Neurological Union in 1998. The specific standards are as follows: through clinical physical examination and neurophysiological examination, the affected areas are divided into four regions: medulla oblongata, cervical medulla, thoracic medulla, and lumbosacral region; a) Clinical diagnosis: Evidence of simultaneous involvement of upper and lower motor neurons in at least 3 out of 4 regions; b) Clinical diagnosis: Evidence of involvement of upper and lower motor neurons in both regions simultaneously; c) Laboratory support: 1 area with involvement of upper and lower motor neurons or only upper motor neurons with electrophysiological examination indicating involvement of at least 2 limbs; d) Clinical possibility: 1 area of upper and lower motor neuron involvement, or more than 2 areas of upper motor neuron involvement, or lower motor neuron involvement located at the distal end of the upper motor neuron involvement area, excluding other diagnoses. 2) Age of onset = 18 years old, 3) presence of initial blood indicators: a) Biochemistry: Liver function: Apolipoprotein A1, lipoprotein a, total protein, albumin, albumin/globulin ratio (A/ratio G), triglycerides, high-density lipoprotein, low-density lipoprotein, creatinine, uric acid, creatine kinase; b) Glycated hemoglobin; c) Blood routine: hemoglobin, neutrophil/lymphocyte ratio (NLR). 4) Having chest CT imaging data.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: In this study, any of the following situations will be excluded from the study. 1) Before admission, there were type 2 diabetes, chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, bronchial asthma, cardiac insufficiency, spinal deformity and other respiratory, circulatory and other chronic diseases that affected the results of pulmonary ventilation function; 2) The patient did not include clear information on the site of onset when collecting information; 3) Patients with difficulty in weaning from tracheal intubation and assisted ventilation on admission; 4) Exclude lesions related to damage to the phrenic nerve, such as malignant tumors (lung cancer, esophageal cancer, lymphoma, etc.). 5) Chest CT images have significant artifacts.
