Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1) confirmed diagnosis of neurosyphilis (according to the 2020 guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of syphilis issued by the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention); 2) 18 years or older 3) consent to standard antibiotic therapy for neurosyphilis.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1) co-infection with HIV and other infectious diseases; 2) taking high-dose antibiotics within the past 6 months; 3) history of other mental disorders, family history, or history of taking antipsychotic drugs;; 4) serious physical diseases; 5) history of traumatic brain injury or unexplained coma; 6) long-term history of smoking and drinking.
