Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Soft tissue defective wounds in the foot and ankle region from various causes with exposed tendons, nerves, bone, or internal fixations; wounds repaired with peroneal nerve trophic vascular flaps.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) The initial injury involves the donor area; (2) The patient is unable to tolerate major surgery due to other severe trauma; (3) The patient is over 75 years old or has severe diabetes or heart disease.
