18 Years to 85 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Informed consent was signed by the family members or themselves; 2) the expected length of ICU stay > 24 hours; 3) age =18 years old.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) patients with a previous history of diabetes; 2) patients with disability of both arms; 3) patients transferred from other ICUs; 4) patients with preexisting ICU-AW or muscle atrophy; 5) patients with neurological conditions that may cause muscle wasting.
