Drinking group:Drinking group was given drinking water every 2 hours after the first drinking, and then as few times as needed after 6 hours postoperatively.
No-drinking group:In the no-drinking group, the lips were moistened with a cotton swab dipped in warm boiled water after extubation and then at two-hour intervals.Then as few times as needed after 6 h

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Patients aged 18 to 80 years who were to undergo elective first line thoracoscopic surgery and ASA classification I-III
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Verbal communication disorders, psychiatric disorders, preoperative dysphagia, intestinal obstruction, history of postoperative nausea and vomiting, refused to be enrolled
