Interventions

2 hour preoperative fasting group:fasting for =2 hours for clear fluids before surgery
1 hour preoperative fasting group:fasting for =1 hours for clear fluids before surgery
liberal fluid fasting group:Allows for clear fluids up until the patient is called to surgery

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: This study aims to include patients who underwent tonsillectomy and adenoidectomy from December 2023 to March 2024. Selection criteria (all items below must be met) :1. ASA Classification I-II.2. Family members or children sign informed consent forms .

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients with a history of oesophageal or gastric surgery or gastrointestinal disorders (including gastrooesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia, or gastritis). 2. BMI>35kg/m2
