Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1) Patients who plan to undergo elective laparoscopic lower abdominal surgery; 2) Catalan surgical patient respiratory risk (ARISCAT) score =26; 3) The operation requires at least 2 hours of general anesthesia; 4) Invasive arterial pressure monitoring is expected as part of routine intraoperative monitoring.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1) A history of lung or upper respiratory tract infection in the past 2 weeks; 2) Severe lung disease; 3) Thoracic malformations or a history of thoracic surgery; 4) Pleural effusion; 5) Neuromuscular dysfunction; 6) ASA grade =IV; 7) Serious cardiovascular system diseases (congenital heart disease, etc.); 8) Severe hepatic and renal insufficiency (serum creatinine >186 µmol/L, bilirubin >20 µmol/L or plasma albumin <30 g/L).
