Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria for MDD patients with childhood maltreatment: ? the diagnostic criteria of the patient's depressive disorder in accordance with the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders DSM-5 diagnostic criteria ? Hamilton Depression Scale 24-item (HAMD24) total score of 17 or more; ? Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) assessment, the presence of Childhood Trauma Questionnaire subscales to meet any one of the above (emotional neglect = 15 points, emotional abuse = 13 points, physical abuse = 10 points, physical neglect = 10 points, sexual abuse = 8 points) ? Age 13-35 years old, male or female; ? Informed consent of the patient or his/her guardian. Inclusion criteria for MDD patients without childhood maltreatment: ?The diagnostic criteria of patients with depressive disorder meet the DSM-5 diagnostic criteria of the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders of the United States; ? The Hamilton Depression Scale is used to measure depression. ? Hamilton Depression Scale 24 items (HAMD 24) total score of 17 points or more. ? Childhood Trauma Questionnaire (CTQ) assessment, the presence of the Childhood Trauma Questionnaire subscales do not meet any one of them or more (emotional neglect = 15 points, emotional abuse = 13 points, physical abuse = 10 points, physical neglect = 10 points, sexual abuse = 8 points) ? Age 13-35 years old, male or female; ? Informed consent from patients or their guardians. Inclusion criteria for healthy controls: ?The age range is 13-35 years old, matched with the group of patients with depression in terms of gender and years of education; ? Not taking antidepressants, benzodiazepines, antipsychotics and other drugs; ? The person himself or his guardian signed the informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Exclusion criteria for MDD patients with childhood maltreatment: ?Those with any other mental disorders in combination; ? Those with mental retardation; ? Those with history of organic brain disease, craniocerebral trauma, and major physical illness; ? Those who have received electroconvulsive therapy within the past 6 months; ? Those who are drug, alcohol or other psychoactive substance abusers; ? Pregnant, lactating or menstruating women; ? Any MRI contraindication; Exclusion criteria for MDD patients without childhood maltreatment. ?People with any other mental disorders in combination; ? People with mental retardation; ? Those with a history of organic brain disease, craniocerebral trauma, and major physical illness; ? Those who have received electroconvulsive therapy in the past 6 months; ? Those who are drug, alcohol or other psychoactive substance abusers; ? Pregnant, lactating or menstruating women; ? Any MRI contraindication; Exclusion criteria for healthy controls: ? Pre-existing history of mental illness or alcohol and drug dependence; ? History of organic brain disease or other serious physical illness; ? History of head trauma (resulting in loss of consciousness for more than 1 hour) or significant mental retardation; ? Family history of mental illness or hereditary neurological disease; ? Hearing problems (inability to hear or understand the examiner during normal conversation); ? Presence of color blindness or color weakness; abnormal naked eye vision or corrected vision; ? Any contraindication to MRI.
