Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Adult patients with metabolic syndrome who plan to undergo weight-loss surgery in the weight-loss center of our hospital have the following indications for weight-loss surgery: ? the duration of type 2 diabetes = 15 years, and the islets still have some insulin secretion function, and the fasting serum C-peptide level = 1/2 of the lower limit of normal value. ? BMI = 27.5 ? For males with a waist circumference = 90cm and females with a waist circumference = 85cm, the recommended surgical level can be increased as appropriate. ? Suggested age: 18-65 years old. ? For the above criteria, the doctors of the weight loss center will evaluate the metabolic syndrome or other complications of the patient, including type 2 diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, obstructive sleep apnea, obesity hypoventilation syndrome, alcoholic fatty liver disease or non-alcoholic steatohepatitis.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Combined with other causes of liver disease: 1. Patients with alcoholic liver disease. The amount of alcohol consumed > 140 g per week for men and >70g per week for women; 2. Patients with specific diseases that can lead to fatty liver, such as viral hepatitis, drug-induced liver disease, total parenteral nutrition, hepatolenticular degeneration, autoimmune liver disease, etc.
