Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: Diagnosed as stage III or IV periodontitis according to the 2018 consensus classification of periodontal and peri-implant diseases and conditions; ? Age 20-60 years; ? =16 remaining teeth; (iii) =2 non-adjacent teeth with adjacent attachment loss detected, maximum CAL =5mm, along with imaging findings of alveolar bone resorption exceeding 1/2 of the root length. ? Excluding attachment loss caused by non-periodontal causes; ? Voluntarily participated in this clinical study and signed an informed consent form.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: ? Suffering from systemic diseases that can affect the progression of periodontal disease, such as diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, uremia, etc; ? Received orthodontic treatment within the last 6 months; ? Periodontal treatment other than supragingival cleaning within the last 6 months; ? Taking antibiotics within the last 3 months; ? Suffering from oral diseases other than periodontitis, such as active caries, mucosal disease, apical periodontitis, pericoronitis, and oral cancer; ? Being pregnant or postpartum or breastfeeding.
