Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1.Eligible patients had diagnoses of UC based on standard clinical, endoscopic and histological criteria; 2.UC patients reached the criteria of endoscopic mucosal healing as described previously (non-inflammatory state, modified Mayo score 1 point, UCEIS = 1); 3.The relevant clinical history and endoscopic examination data were complete.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Patients were diagnosed as UC but did not reach the standard of endoscopic mucosal healing; 2. Poor intestinal preparation or inability to tolerate intestinal preparation affecting colonoscopy examination; 3. Unable to differentiate from other intestinal diseases, including Crohn's disease, intestinal tuberculosis, intestinal Behcet's syndrome, unclassified colitis, etc; 4. UC patients with severe complications such as toxic megacolon, intestinal perforation, colon stenosis and obstruction, massive bleeding, or colorectal cancer; 5. UC patients had received subtotal colectomy or total colectomy.
