Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: Inclusion criteria: 1. 41 consecutive patients admitted to the Department of Critical Care Medicine of Baoding First Central Hospital due to ARDS were enrolled. The definition of ARDS follows the Berlin definition (8); 2. Mechanical ventilation (PB840, US), volume control mode, and deep sedation (with or without muscle relaxation therapy) to ensure that the patient does not have spontaneous breathing; 3. Over 18 years old ; 4.CRS (respiratory system compliance)=35 ml/cmH2O

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: The exclusion criteria were: severe hemodynamic instability (blood pressure could not be maintained in patients with NE>0.5ug/kg/min), pregnancy, and factors that could not be used for chest wall loading (such as rib fractures, severe chest burns, severe chest deformities, etc.).
