Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The subjects of the study were the first-year students of Yunnan Institute of Land and Resources Vocational and Technical College and Yunnan Institute of Culture and Arts, among which 250 first-year students of Yunnan Institute of Land and Resources Vocational and Technical College and 250 first-year students of Yunnan Institute of Culture and Arts; in accordance with the principle of homogeneous (school) grouping based on the intervention of all the members, the experimental group was the first-year students of Yunnan Institute of Land and Resources Vocational and Technical College, and the control group was the first grade students of Yunnan Institute of Culture and Arts. One of the experimental groups was also called the intervention group because it received the painting therapy mental health program intervention. The criteria for dividing the control and experimental groups were simple random sampling grouping based on the research question. Sample selection criteria: the grades in the sample were freshmen who had not been exposed to this type of course or to other majors with a foundation in psychology and drawing.

Exclusion criteria: Exclusion Criteria: The present study was based on the scale scores as access and exclusion criteria: firstly, the first test group were all students over 18 years old who were enrolled in the study for the scale measurements, secondly, the criteria for inclusion in the experimental group were the scale responses for the psychologically unhealthy population, and the exclusion criteria were the non-compliance with the scale scores and the failure to sign the informed consent form.
