Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: This retrospective case–control study enrolled 543 pregnant women (1086 eyes) who were delivered at The Third Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou Medical University, Guangzhou, China, between September 2020 and September 2022
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: We excluded subjects with any other comorbidities, such as glaucoma, cataract, ocular surgery, ocular trauma, or pre-existing retinopathy, or patients with preexisting ascular/renal disease, or systemic disease, known to affect the retina.
