Test Group:Maxillary sinus augmentation and implant placement performed immediately after tooth extraction
Control Group:Three months after tooth extraction, perform the maxillary sinus augmentation through the alveolar crest and implant inplacement

18 Years to 80 Years

Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Adult patients (>18 years old); 2. Good oral hygiene ( plaque index = 25%); 3. Maxillary 1st molar extracted and plan to implant; the alveolar septum is classified as class A or class B; 4. The distance between the crest of the alveolar ridge and the floor of the maxillary sinus is less than 7 mm, and the distance between the apex of the alveolar septum and the floor of the maxillary sinus is more than 4 mm.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Contraindications for tooth extraction or implant surgery; 2. Heavy smoking (= 20 per day) ; 3. Maxillary sinus cyst or chronic maxillary sinusitis on the operative side; 4. Acute inflammation; 5. An obvious maxillary sinus septum or sharp bone apex at the site of implant surgery.
