Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: (1) age =18 years old; (2) predicted no drinking water for =6 hours; (3) RASS sedation score -1-1; (4) NRS thirst score > 3; (5) Informed consent to participate in the study

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: (1) patients with unconsciousness or delirium; (2) patients previously diagnosed with xerostomia or oral diseases; (3) patients with mechanical ventilation; (4) patients with visual, hearing and speech comprehension disorders.
