Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: 1. Aged 18-75 (inclusive) years; 2. The diagnosis of acute-on-chronic liver failure conforms to any of the guideline for diagnosis and treatment of liver failure (2018, China)/APASL/EASL-CLIF-C: (1) Guideline for diagnosis and treatment of liver failure (2018, China): an acute hepatic insult that occurs in patients with chronic liver disease, manifested by jaundice (serum total bilirubin [TB] >= 10×ULN or an increase of [TB]>17.1 µmol/L) and coagulation dysfunction (PTA=1.5). Patients were divided into three types according to the severity of chronic liver diseases, as follows: type-A for patients without cirrhosis, type-B for patients with well-compensated cirrhosis, and type-C for patients with previous decompensated cirrhosis; (2) APASL: an acute hepatic insult that occurs in patients with chronic liver disease, manifested by jaundice (serum total bilirubin [TB] >= 5 mg/dL) and coagulation dysfunction (PTA <= 40%), and complicated within 4 weeks by ascites and/or encephalopathy; (3) EASL-CLIF C: on the basis of acute decompensation of cirrhosis, ACLF-1: Single kidney failure; Single liver, coagulation, circulatory or lung failure that is associated with a serum creatinine level of 1.5~1.9mg/ml and/or hepatic encephalopathy grade 1 or grade 2; Single brain failure with a serum creatinine level of 1.5~1.9mg/ml; ACLF-2: two organs failures; ACLF-3: three organ failures or more; 3. Signed informed consent.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: 1. Liver cancer and other malignant tumors; 2. Patients with other serious systemic diseases and mental disorders, such as chronic renal failure requiring dialysis, severe cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, and other end-stage diseases; 3. Pregnant or lactating women; 4. Others, such as HIV, syphilis patients who need treatment, etc.
