anterior-only (AO) approach:Lesion removal and fixation were performed by an anterior approach.
posterior-only (PO) approach:The lesion was cleared and fixed by posterior approach.
combined anterior and posterior (AP) :Lesion clearance and posterior fixation were performed by the anterior approach.

Inclusion criteria
Inclusion criteria: a) The patients were diagnosed with spinal tuberculosis after medical history, clinical manifestations, imaging and laboratory examinations, and postoperative histopathological examination or pus culture; b) The lesions only involved the thoracic and lumbar spine; c) The patient has not undergone thoracolumbar surgery in the past; d) The patient’s medical records are complete and easy to refer to. The medical records are determined to be Grade A medical records after strict three-level quality control.e)Informed consent to treatment and surgical plans.
Exclusion criteria
Exclusion criteria: Those with a history of thoracolumbar surgery were excluded.
