Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: 1. Age 18–65 years; 2. The patient was diagnosed with chronic non-specific low back pain, the duration of low back pain symptoms was more than 3 months, the chief complaint of pain symptoms was at least 3 days per week, and the visual analogue score (VAS) of pain symptoms was = 3 points; 3. The total score of Beck Depression Scale (BDI-II) was 13 or above; 4. Able to live independently; 5. Agree to receive Tai Chi training, voluntarily participate in this study and sign the informed consent

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: 1. Visual analogue scale (VAS) of pain symptoms > 8 points; 2. Have been diagnosed with depression and need to take antidepressants; 3. Regularly practicing tai chi for any reason within the past 6 months or practicing tai chi, yoga or Qigong for nearly half a year to treat lower back pain; 4. Have specific or underlying causes of low back pain (such as sciatica, spinal stenosis, lumbar disc herniation, spondylolisthesis, recent vertebral fractures, etc.); 5. Have a serious underlying systemic or visceral disease (such as inflammatory disease, malignancy, unexplained weight loss, infection, or trauma); 6. Pain in other parts of the body is more serious than low back pain; 7. History of lumbar surgery; 8. History of drug and alcohol abuse; 9. Any other disability or dysfunction that may affect the treatment effect; 10. Exercise intervention contraindications; 11. fNIRS evaluation contraindications; 12. Body mass index (BMI) 30
