Inclusion criteria

Inclusion criteria: The study included a prospective naturalistic population cohort from western China and an elderly population aged 60 years or older in Beihai City.

Exclusion criteria

Exclusion criteria: Deaf, hemiplegic, and blind patients were excluded because they were unable to cooperate. In addition, patients living alone, with malignant tumors, and with major chronic diseases (e.g., severe cardiac insufficiency, pulmonary insufficiency, and hepatic insufficiency) with a life expectancy of no more than 5 years were excluded from the cohort for better follow-up results.
